I had my first exam today 9 months after being medically retired from the Army for PTSD. I have another condition that the VA market me as unstable at this point with a future exam in 2018. My question is if the VA marks me down for the PTSD as total and permanent at the current rating I have it will have me as 100% total and permanent no matter what the outcome of the rating is for the other unstable condition I have. So at this point will I be considered 100% permanent and total or do I have to wait to do my other exam for my other condition which that rating won't make a differences anyway.

Is the other unstable condition mental health related? If it is not mental health related than that condition may allow you to receive more money if you are rated 60% or greater for it. (SMC-S)

From my experiences, if the DoVA VBA have you marked for another future C&P Examination at this point in time then an increased DoVA 100% P&T rating shall not be warranted until your medical condition(s) is(are) indeed deemed permanent and stable at a future time. Take care!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!
