Did you do a medical exam with your primary care provider on base or MH provider to complete the NARSUM and was it like a C&P exam with the VA?
I have my base exam next week with the MH doctor and I'm just curious how it's going to go since they have never seen me and yet they are doing a NARSUM on me that will be the bases of my disability % in the military.

All of my C&P exams were done by providers not on base, I'm thinking your MH provider is just getting information together for your NARSUM. My PCM didn't even sit down with me for both my IRILO Narsum or my PEB Narsum.

Yeah, the MH doctor on base didn’t even see me in person. The concurred with the findings from the C&P and that reflected on the Narsum, which surprised me on how quick it was

I'm not sure honestly. My peblo was explaining to me that there are other cases that take priority over full MEB cases such as code removals, med hold extensions, ARILOS, and IRILOS. So I am just trying to keep busy until the time comes.

My last DBQ was uploaded in early July and my VA MSC submitted them for ratings at that time. My case didn't close with the VA until 30 OCT. I had a lot of people tell me that the VA would not assign ratings until AFTER the PEB found me unfit (because why would the VA waste their time rating you if you were just going to be found fit by the DOD). My VA MSC told me that they used to do it that way but not any more. They start the ratings regardless before you are found fit or unfit because in the event you are found unfit your ratings will almost or already be complete. So in summary...

Early July- Last DBQ uploaded/ VA MSC sends exams for ratings
Early September- NARSUM submitted to PEB
30 October- VA Case closed
14 NOV- VA MSC told me my DOD/ VA percentages
20 NOV- My PEBLO told me I'm waiting on the "PEB Signature" step which is the final step of the PEB before I sign the 199. He has no idea how long that is going to take.

Also I just realized you are AF aren't you? Our processes might be different but the VA timelines should match up closely. It took between 3-4 months from the time my exams were submitted for ratings until my VA case closed.

yes i am AF. so the VA told me they have had my claims in process since August. i spoke with my PEBLO Monday and he said the IPEB is waiting on my ratings. i also think the holidays coming up are going to cause a lot to slow down. im just ready to be out this process has taken way to long..

Sure. The VA had your claim but they don't start rating the conditions one by one. They wait until every DBQ for the entire claim is submitted. I feel like you are getting close. Your claim could close any day. Once my claim closed I had a DOD rating and my proposed VA ratings in less than two weeks.

oh okay that makes sense. i havent had much help on this whole process so im still confused on how everything goes. ive been keeping an eye in my VA.gov stuff to see when it closes. im hoping its within the next month or so.

Holidays might slow it down some but like I said 1st week of July to 30 OCT is how long the VA took to process my claim. You should be looking at December or mid January at the latest for your claim to close.
