I posted this over in the MEB tab but trying to get some more advice specific to injuries and possibility/chances they give me MEB/PEB. Thanks
Looking for some advice.
Background: 26 yo USMC Infantry officer
I have had 4 knee surgeries while in the military.
First one Left ACL reconstruction w/ Meniscus scope
Second Left ACL/MCL Reconstruction w/ Meniscus scope
Third Left ACL Reconstruction w/ Meniscus scope
Fourth Right ACL Reconstruction w/ Meniscus scope
Recently I have reinjured my left knee again. I am currently waiting to see an ortho in a few weeks and am currently doing Physical Therapy for it from my PCM while I wait. I also just got the MRI results back, mostly inconclusive due to metal from previous surgery. However what they could see was a complex meniscus tear and complete loss of Cartlidge on the weight-bearing portion of the medial side of. Not sure what the complete loss of Cartlidge means but doesn't sound good for my joints. does any one have any experience with that
THe PT thinks I have at least a partial ACL tear again but was unwilling to do all the tests needed as I had an ortho appointment already scheduled
I Also do not believe I have ever been officially put on LIMDU for any of these prior surgeries, will this affect them putting me on a MEB?
Based on this and doing some reading I am concerned that the doctor is going to put me in for MEB/PEB as clearly I have some issues with knee stability. Is this a realistic concern? Any experience with similar issues or advice is appreciated.
Thanks
