Air Force IPEB anyone getting results lately?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone was hearing results back recently with the holidays and all. Mine was sent in October and still no word. My PEBLO said she was getting some back that was sent at the beginning of September. Anyone out there get results in Jan? Anyone else get their package sent out in October? Am I all alone on this one? I am really starting to get depressed about not hearing anything. I can't plan for school or work or anything right now :(

Below is an excerpt from my communication with my PEBLO:

I hate to bother you about this, but I have a concern. I have
spoken to a couple of individuals and my former co-worker TSgt XXXXXX about
the length of the IPEB process. TSgt XXXXXX says that his package was at
the IPEB for 14 weeks and the others have each been waiting over 100 days.
Is there a possibility that you could ping AFPC and see if there is still a
backlog and what is the current realistic timeframe I am looking at? As you
can imagine, I am trying to plan out my future with the consideration in
mind that I could possibly be separated. I appreciate your time.....believe
me!"

AFPC is always back logged. No offense to your sources, but I have heard a
number of false claims about the length of MEBs. I process all MEBs at this
base and I know what the stats are. We can look at 10 weeks as the worst
case scenario. The IPEB has an average of 700-1000 MEB cases awaiting
disposition any given day. The folks who review them do so in the order
they are received. The only MEBs that are processed quickly are imminent
death or fatal diseases(and even those take a month)."

According to my PEBLO, Everyone on this board is the "exception"
 
I got this from my PEBLO this morning

AFPC is taking longer than 4 months for determinations, so as soon as we get yours, you will be notified.

Thanks for the info my PEBLO is impossiable to get a hold of. He didn't tell you how much longer by any chance did he
 
I'm being told the same thing here at my base...when week 22 rolls out...I'm gonna get persistant..

Woohoo, day 107 for me. Apparently I too, like everyone else on this board, am an exception to policy. Nice to know I'm exceptional!!
 
hello week 18! 4 months and 2 weeks and was told to expect another 3-4. I'm losing my mind. :p

No, they never give me a date. They just tell me the average that it is taking. I think that they are afraid to commit. Once the send it off it is in God's hands and they don't want to inquire. We are all just a number in a process, we are not people with lives to live.

What???!!!! Someone can get ahold of their PEBLO??!! That's unheard of? You must be the exception to the rule.

Hey guys-
Ray of hope: One of my friends who was being med boarded with Stage 3 Breast Cancer just got back her results today and hers was submitted in OCT! She got TDRL at 85% It took her a little over four months....so maybe we should be hearing something... I'm hoping...
 
first off, hang in there guys and gals. there will eventually be light @ te end of the tunnel. i just got back from my MEB evals @ wilford hall. i have been in the DES for almost 4 years. my unit (air nat guard)has consistantly dropped the ball on my MEB and it had to be done over 4 maybe 5 times. i have already been found unfit all of these times. that's the whole reason they sent me to lackland to meet w/their docs. by the way...has anyone had to do this??? anyway...i got back sunday and i just got an e-mail from my PEBLO (@ wilford hall) after i asked her about how long she thinks my stuff will take this time around. she said that i should get an answer from the IPEB by june-july 2010, but she did say that she had heard that they may stand up an additional board and it could be done as early as may 2010. take it for what it's worth. i'll believe it when i see it. just my 2 cents
 
Got my results this morning!!! 30% TDRL for bipolar disorder. Thanks to all of you for your support through this! Good Luck to anyone still waiting :)

He sounds like my PEBLO. He calls the IPEB the MEB. He told a doctor I had appealed the MEB, when in fact I appealed the IPEB. It should a requirement that every PEBLO has to personally go through the DES process so they can understand the frustration involved.
 
I just spoke with my PEBLO and she said that my package for Asthma was sent to AFPC Nov 30, 2009 and was put in awaiting informal board status Dec 11,2009. She also said she spoke with my Action Officer down at AFPC that said the current board is only halfway done with the Nov 2009 cases, but they are going to set up another board to expedite the process, but haven't done so yet. I'm just fustrated because she told me to wait another month :( That's what she told me last month. I hope everyone gets results soon.

That's not the 1st time I heard about another board being set up. That would be an optimal situation. I hope they do that quickly!

results in.........20 percent severence. I was 40% while on TDRL. Downgraded. Not sure what to think of this. This is a big decision, especially since I don't have my VA findings back yet. I had hoped they would PDRL me at 40%. Haven't got the hard copy of this yet, when does my ten days start??? Thanks everyone and good luck to you all, hindershot.

Glad to hear you got your results, sorry to hear that you didn't get the best outcome. Please keep us informed on what you decide to do.
 
Just got notification that FPEB will be in two weeks..... thought they had to give as least 30 days notice. Jason we really need to talk with you.

MEB to IPEB: 14 Sep 09
IPEB response: 4 Feb 10 20% dis/Sep with Sev.
Appeal to IPEB: 18 Feb 10
FPEB notification of court date: 24 Mar 10
Appearance at Lackland: 9 Apr 10
