ANG prior AD, 100% P&T, actively in MEB process

What a mess. Thank you everyone for sharing. Is this any different for people who are have majority of their Guard time as AGR?

No one is talking about LOD for me. All of my injuries have (basically) occurred while on AGR. Certainly all my treatment has, from 2019 to now.
If AGR you don't need LOD because you are active duty indef. As long as you have been in 8 years everything is service connected and no LOD required.

I wanted to provide everyone an update here for those who may be searching the internet or these forums in the future.

I participated in the LDES system due to my already 100% P&T. My conditions were a result of my Active Duty time, and I was being MEB'd as a Air National Guard member. Although I did not have a LOD generated from AD/Guard, when my potentially unfit condition was sent to the National Guard Bureau (an additional step AD doesn't have to do) they automatically created me an Administrative LOD stating prior service condition. I did not have to generate a LOD for my active duty time myself, as all my medical records and VA rating pointed to it already being a result of service. Although IDES has a clause where you can request to only be C&P examed for DoD purposes only, it was still contingent on others doing their job to make sure my VA rating isnt touched. Unfortunately, I did not want to risk this so I elected LDES. After speaking with the Defense Disability Council, they also recommended I pursue LDES over IDES. My IPEB results came in with proposed 70% DoD TDRL for my unfit condition, with the same condition on the VA side being rated 100% untouched by the process. I hope this helps those in the future in the same situation.

Are you happy with the results? That is what matters most. If you had gone IDES and the VA rated the condition at 100% you would have netted 5% more net pay since 100% will max you out at 75% DOD verse the 70% DOD that LDES awarded. In IDES the DOD% must mirror the VA ratings for each unfitting condition.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe it would impact me in any way if I were to be rated higher by the DoD. I'm 10 years of service, with 100% P&T VA and under the impression I do not and will not receive concurrent pay, correct?

You are correct that it probably won't impact you due to the VA offset. However, your chapter 61 retirement is the floor amount. So if you were to somehow lose your VA compensation then it would matter. In your case the most important thing is to ensure you eventually get moved over to PDRL with at least 30% so that you can have tricare for you and your family for life.
