So, I just received my proposed ratings. I really am not doing well mentally being in the Army, and part of me says sign it, screw it, move on with life. But, the reality is, I believe my rating should be higher.
For this reason, I am considering a VARR. I have a few questions for anyone that has selected to move forward this way:
1. How much time did this add to your overall case? Are we talking just a few weeks... or is this going to add months onto my timeline?
2. Are there any downsides to doing a VARR? Do I run the risk of them actually coming back with lower ratings?
3. Any other insight about the process, timeline, or things you wish you knew beforehand?
4. Should I just accept, get out, and then fight it with a private attorney?
I am an IDES MEB, Active Duty Army, using a PEBLO and Army Attorney (no private attorney). OCONUS. I don't have much fight left in me.
