BLUF... looking at possible MEB; Flight doc seems to think it will go that way. Not sure what to expect or if I can fight it out to retirement. Hit 18 years in one month.

Been DNIF for almost six months but fighting back issues for more than a year. Recently been going around with pain management which has helped a lot. 3X ESI but the only thing that gives consistent relief is gabapetin (which grounds me and apparently will force an MEB).

Don't know much about service longevity consideration any advise or shared experience would be helpful.

How many yeas of "longevity" do you have?

Same question here, I recently got put up for timing out on fitness exemptions (what the doc said). Almost a month later and no narsum from her

You can really drag your feet if you want to, but 1 year DNIF equals an MEB and loss of AO (flight pay). Hit 20 if you can, its worth it, alas, I cannot. Active duty? I would think pretty easy, ANG/Res just ask for a plans/inspection job until you hit 20.

I'm not looking to drag feet on it, just move on, be it civilian or still AD. I never was notified, just sent a profile saying I'm now under meb, took 4 days to get ahold of anyone to confirm it and can't even talk to peblo since she won't pick up the phone. I'd like to stay in, just don't know how AFPC sees spine issues (ddd / facet arthritis / sciatica ), have no issues with work , just was going to clinic for pain mgt

Go to your med group, that is where the PUUBLO lives.
