DFAS running as per usual - at least you got it done!

Quick question:

When I submitted, I only did applications for Migraines, PTSD, and Tinnitus. (The first two being my disqualifying conditions from service).

Does the CRSC automatically add other PACT act presumptive conditions?
(I’m also rated for Rhinitis & OSA)

Well OSA is not a presumptive, they may consider if rated as a secondary to a presumptive. It’s a maybe, but probably better if you explicitly apply for the condition.

Yeah you’re right that’s my bad.
I saw someone share their decision letter and it said presumptive but it must’ve been secondary to something.

And thanks - guess I’ll reapply with presumptive conditions once I hear back.

Army is pretty good about doing that, however, unless OSA is coupled with something else, or secondary to a combat-related condition as @scottymotech mentioned above, it won't get approved. Usually I see it as: OSA w/Asthma, PTSD w/OSA, etc, etc, asthma being a presumptive therefore OSA gets approved. However, that's just for Army, AF loves to screw folks over and holds the statement on the Presumptives listing by the VA to the letter, when someone goes through IDES, asthma is diagnosed while still in the service, not after. Army approves it, AF doesn't ffs.

Hate the discrepancies between services..

My OSA is a standalone so it doesn’t count for me anyways.

But is IBS presumptive?

It can be under Gulf War, if Functional IBS not structural. And there can not be a clear cause/diagnosis: medically unexplained chronic multisystem illnesses (MUCMIs). Interestingly I was pursuing IBS, but it was determined via testing, (colonoscopy) I have structural IBS, which tanked my presumption. I didn’t feel like fighting due to being over prescribed NSAIDs and opioids while in service. Yeah those 800mg Ibuprofen they hand out like candy.

If you have a VA ratings for IBS and it’s a GW/PACT presumptive per your rating letter, should be a slam dunk CRSC.

Yes, IBS is under "Instrumentality of War (IN)" as long as it's documented that you were in the geographic region as per the VA Presumptive list (which is pretty much anywhere in and around the sandboxes) and a rating by the VA.

That TOTALLY sucks! I've been on a regimen of naproxen for the past 15 years (2 x 250mg twice a day), but also on pantoprazole thanks to my GERD, gee, I wonder where I got the GERD from? lol

I got my 60 on 1/24/26 still waiting

You have to be close.
I saw someone get their decision recently right at the 90 day mark.
I called yesterday. They told me to call at the end of the month if I haven’t heard anything. I MEB in 2015

How long until it post the backpay amount ?
It can be anytime between now and 60 days, sometimes it'll post BEFORE your first payment, depends on how long DFAS takes with their audit.

They received the paperwork a month ago now
DFAS states 60-90 days, reality is 30-60 days, so you could see it in the next month (ish)
