I’ve been following these threads for a while and now that I’m in the midst of my MEB I have questions lol. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Bipolar unspecified. What that means exactly, I don’t know. The whole process of me getting diagnosed was kind of baloney. I was also found to have Major Depressive Disorder and an unspecified adult personality disorder, most likely BPD. I’m currently unmedicated by my choice and opted out of IOP.
I’m an Intel Analyst and I’ve been in for little under 3 years. At the beginning of my career I had a LOT of issues with my supervisor that landed me an admin role with Honor Guard. I’m back in my squadron now but due to my diagnosis, the commander temporarily revoked my clearance. I also self-reported the diagnosis to the SSO’s, who are in the process of pushing the clearance case to AFPC. I’m not doing my job, I’m just filling an admin role elsewhere in the squadron.
Anyway, I just had my first C&P exam for BH and the doctor believes I have Bipolar Type II or hypomania but not Bipolar Type I. I think I accidentally downplayed my symptoms? Or didn’t emphasis the right ones enough? I have so many questions. Was anyone else medboarded for Bipolar Type II or Bipolar unspecified? Were you medically retired? Were you returned to duty? Any additional information would help. I’m really anxious.
