CRSC for brief psychotic disorder

Good morning all,

Question for you all. With brief psychotic disorder (diagnosed while in the military) a couple years after deploying to a combat zone. Will it be difficult to qualify for CRSC, or will that be a pretty easy claim to make?

Probably difficult. I think it’s branch dependent but I don’t honestly know. Mental health claims are hard to substantiate unless you have a no shit stressor event that you can link to the mental health claim. You need an award usually to do so.

Agreed, difficult at best without having substantiating documentation such as a combat-related award like a CAB/CAR/CIB/CMB/etc

There is recent case law that may change the landscape on CRSC, but getting the approval authority to apply the standard to your condition may require a lawyer and lots of time.
