That's crazy! I was just looking into the same questionWhat is the difference between the codes 00 and 01 on Eras CRSC statement? I have a 00 and my buddy has 01.
It’s the basis level for which you are paid 00 I believe means you are paid at the maximum level you can be paid at and 01 is paid at the lowest level.

I think it depends on if you are maxed out in compensation. Possibly how close are you to hitting your longevity max ceiling. Again I’m not sure, but I do know it is a basis code for the level of pay within DFAS.

It would be whatever you have earned pension wise. So if you haven’t completed a regular 20 year retirement you get 2.5 percent for every good year of service… or 50 percent for 20 years.To be honest, I have no idea what the longevity max ceiling is.. lol! The basis code might also mean how much money you ate paid based on a scale within DFAS as well. Like if you are paid less than 1K you are basis code 01 and over 1k you are basis code 00. Or it could be you code 00 because you have hit you max longevity pay which is the 2.5 percent of your high three for every good year of service.
