Findings just dropped. 70%dod 100%VA. Signed and sent back. Holiday stand down starts Monday so probably won’t get soft orders until after the first
Hell yeah! Seems like everyone getting ratings! I had a follow up with my Navy wounded warrior team today and they said that the PEB is working through the holidays to clear all cases. So hopefully we all be getting ratings soon!

I'm hoping. Everyone around my submission time is gotten findings this week. I gotta be close.

I just received an email from VA that I need more exams done. I called and confirmed it was only for joint/muscular exams, which are the ones they have been pushing out re-exams for because of the one examinee suing the VA. I requested to waive my re-exam and use the results from the exams I did in June and July. I am disappointed I just received the notification, because the VA showed 5/5 complete at the end of August

Can anyone help me out here with a possible month that I’ll get back my final findings?
My case was just sent up last month after the shutdown ended on 19 NOV for mental health.

Realistically I would say March or April. Don't be surprised if it's later though.

My PEBLO said my case is with the VA for an informal rating alignment. What are the next steps after that? If anyone knows would be appreciated

My case has been at the rating alignment step since 20JAN. After that is when your official findings come in.

I had my preliminary VA ratings released on 12jan and an unfit finding from the PEB on 18Jan. Next step is to sign findings. My peblo said that could take 60-90 days. But could drop any day before that. Whatever the hell that means. Then once you sign the 199 it goes back to the PEB to be consolidated and forwarded to the branch HQ for separation messaging and orders. Or you could also request a formal PEB which then who knows. I’ve heard that can take many months to even get started. Seems like we are almost on the same timeline.

Yeah my EAOS is in May so I'm probably going to extend lmao

I think you mean you got your Prelim VA ratings and unfit finding from the MEB. you are waiting for the PEB to review and concur and then they send back the findings for you to sign. And the timeline is around 3-4 weeks but could be longer because of the shutdown

Thanks. Sounds like this process is finally coming to an end. I was suppose to be out January. They had me extend til July.

Hmm… MEB was over on 30 December. Peblo just told me unit on 18 January by PEB.

Actually I have one more question. How does a new EAS work? My buddy said they base it off of your leave days but I honestly didn’t really understand what he meant by that.

They take 14 days of out-processing + up to 20 days PTDY (CC approval) + up to 40 days terminal (your choice) and calculate from there. You can deny both PTDY and Terminal and then basically start out-processing. Or you can go up to 60 days after the out-processing and sell back your leave.

That’s weird. I don’t know why you’d have to wait 60-90 days after to sign your findings… I was told as soon as they make a decision at PEB you sign and route it so theycc be an generate orders.

Thank you for your reply. I’m USMC I’m not sure if they do 14 days of out processing but I was planning on taking terminal since I have 55 days. Just to clarify that is okay right? Or id have to sell them?

I am not sure how the USMC does it, but my understanding (USAF) is all branches have a set out-processing days they add + however many days approved by your commander + how many terminal days you use (capped at 40 days for us). So when you sign your PEB findings, you give them the estimated date. USMC may allow all terminal days, I would verify with your PEBLO. AF has a max of 74 days and will request orders/EAS for 74 days after the day you sign your findings
