Breamo, Allen & 4Cords....any news?

Nothing new here. My husband called to check on the status last week and was told that the las taction taken on it was March 31st. (meaning it's still awaitng the rating) The guy he spoke to told him to keep calling to check on it periodically.
It's the VA (and pilot program system) that is holding everything up at this point.

Congrats again to those who have received their results!

Unfortunately I still have heard nothing, I have not lost hope yet though!

Congrats, breamo! I hope the rest of the process goes quickly for you. Best of luck.

We're still waiting.....

Well I got my results! 50 percent permanent retirement!!

Congratz Breamo! 50% Permanent is great! Your time-line is as follows:

To and including: Friday, May 7, 2010
It is 137 days from the start date to the end date, end date included

Well, it appears that the VA doesn't have a clue as to what is going on with my husband's package.
We're told that he's in the pilot program, that his package is with the VA in Baltimore and waiting for them to assign his rating so his PEB can be finished.

He spoke to the VA today and they told him that they will NOT assign a rating until he's out of the service. He informed them that he's in the pilot program and they won't put him out until the VA gives a rating. So...we're momentarily stuck. He's trying to get in touch with our PEBLO and the local VA rep to see if they can get this moving along again. You'd think it would set off bells when they're getting packages back that were sent in a month or more after his.

The VA is supposed to assign a "tentative" or "projected" rating for purposes of the pilot program. But the rating isn't official or valid until he leaves the service. It may simply be the VA rep not knowing what is going on with regards to a pilot program.

Maybe another call with a more knowledgable VA rep and their terminology will help....

Good Luck.

Nate

Thanks. He was able to get a hold of the PEBLO today, who said she'd do some checking on it. I'm realy hoping it was someone who was unfamiliar with the program. We do know that his package was shuffled around some after the VA had had it for 6 weeks. So we just want to be sure that every thing is still on track. (it's already had one administrative error at AFPC that delayed it on their end for a couple of weeks)

It could be worse. At least he's still getting a paycheck while we wait.

Spoke to the VA again today, they have assigned a rating and it's being verified, then will be sent back to AFPC to get finalized. PEBLO said it could be another month. Then they have a month to process his orders. We're hoping to take the ferry out of Alaska, so crossing our fingers it comes back in time.

Oh well, at least there's a tiny little light at the end of the tunnel now.

We haven't received our results yet.

We got a call from the PEBLO telling us what his "verbal" rating was. (not sure what that means) But the package hasn't come back yet. :/

Sorry, I jumped the gun. Post has been deleted.

We finally got his results in!!!!

They came today, 3 June 2010. 60% PDRL- we're very happy with the outcome, seeing as there was no hope of him being returned to duty. With 16+ years of service, it was our hope that he would at least get rated high enough for retirement. (to keep our benefits)

I'm not sure how long they have been done. My husband called AFPC this morning. The person gave him a phone number to the PDRL office. The woman got very angry with him and told him to call our PEBLO because she'd sent it. We stopped by the PEBLO office while in the hospital and she said she hasn't received anything. So the PEBLO called AFPC and they sent it while we waited.

Congratulations!
