DoD rating/corrected

Hello all! I was placed on TDRL in 2013, and PDRL in 2014. My DoD rating was 30% and my disqualifying condition was PTSD which the VA originally rated at 50%, and only increased after that. Can anyone answer, for certain, how the DoD rates your disability percent? If my initial VA rating was 50%, shouldn’t the DoD match that? I have been told a half dozen ways the DoD calculates this, and I believe I am right where DoD just uses what the VA initially rated your disqualifying condition. If so, how can I have this corrected? Also see so much conflicting information on correcting MEB results, so please, if you aren’t certain please don’t confidently give me the wrong information.

This is common I am finding in my research especially in that timeframe years you talk of. I believe IDES is where the VA is more involved in DES processing. I know you will need to go to the board of corrections.

It seems ludicrous the DOD would say you are unable to be in the military, and the disability that is permanent, is 30% which I believe is only $300 a month to restart your life. The VA 50% is canceled out by 30%

My records are beyond F’ed. Even with three Afghanistan campaign medals my NATO ribbon was denied multiple times because “I don’t have proof I was in the country”. Then CRSC said I wasn’t at Ghazni because my dec mistakenly says Bagram, even though I have medical evac records at Bagram saying I came from Ghazni…

A “combat medic” with PTSD isn’t “combat related”… it’s ridiculous even if I was at an FST… especially when I got my CRSC approved for a deployment to Iraq as a maintainer, exposed to even less, and never went off base. The logic is missing to me.

Have you done a Board of Corrections yet?
