DSP Tax Refund Cutoff Timeline

Has anyone who requested their refund from DFAS for this year know what the cutoff is to request it? Their site says Dec 15th of the same year DSP was received.

When I submitted my request and documents via askDFAS, I was told I have to go through the IRS with an amended tax return even though I beat the deadline by submitting Nov 4th because I “have no pay account” even though I received my payment the day before my request.

That sounds frustrating. Have you tried calling DFAS directly to clarify the “no pay account” status? Sometimes their online system doesn’t update fast enough after a payment is issued.

Yeah, I’m reached out to them on several times, receive conflicting info every time.
