E-Benefits says "Status Has Changed"... o_O

What does it mean when the "Updates" section of my claim says "Status Has Changed"?

Also, my completion has fluctuated from 09/28/16 - 12/11/2016 to 12/13/2016 - 03/04/2017 O_O

Just answered my own question. It changed from Pending Decision Approval to Preparation for Decision.

Has a second claim been opened for you yet?

Not yet. :/ I was hoping it would today. My status is back at Pending Decision Approval and my dates switched to
12/08/2016 - 02/20/2017 today.

My case switched to a closer sets of dates just like that 14 days ago and I got a call from my military PEBLO to come for a talk shortly after that, today. (8 days after my the estimated dates dropped) I personally think my military PEBLO got them sooner but didn't want to see me until Monday : (

I just went through TRS for transitioning service-members. So the way the VA specialist described the VA process. Each case goes to 2 random examining teams. Those 2 teams work on a case separately and that case a rating. If Team 1's rating and Team's 2 rating don't match for any reason, that case finds two new examining teams. (A new Team 1 and new Team 2) This process goes over and over until two examining teams get the same rating separately. I kid you not.

Finally, after Team 1 and Team 2 get the same rating. This case goes to the examining supervisor who can then accept or shoot the rating down. If the rating is shot down, this case's examining process starts over with new teams. If rating is approved, this case officially gets processed from the VA Rating system as "proposed ratings."

I am assuming your case is being sent back, maybe repeatedly for some reason. VA was bad about updating my statuses. It might be worth chatting or calling them, as long as it's still in the VA stage and not DOD.

This is news to me and great information. That process does sound insane lol.

Thank you so much!

Yeah. It's the government at it's best lol I hope you can find some answers from the VA as long as it's not in DOD's hands yet.
