eBenefits -- Is it necessary to have updates through here?

I just checked my eBenefits after finding out about this. My packet was sent to Seattle on December 6th for ratings and I haven't heard anything back yet.

When I checked my eBenefits it is still showing as "Gathering Evidence" and it shows an outdated request for information that was given to them months ago.

Is it important to have this updated? Would this be the reason why I haven't heard anything yet/received my ratings?

Has anyone else gotten ratings back despite eBenefits not updating properly?

Please advise as I am getting so anxious/worried/depressed/annoyed/disgruntled.

You're not alone! I'm in the same situation as you, timeline, gathering evidence, etc.. Contact your MSC, PEBLO or contact the VA by calling the 1-800#.

A lot of time ebenefits isn't updated, some of us are lucky with ebenefits and some if us are not, just keep up with the 1800# and your PEBLO or MSC

I had my estimated completion date pushed back four times. Then it went back to under review in status. I thought they were redoing my whole claim again but then I got my award letter. Ebenefits is only accurate in letting you know they are still reviewing things when they dont hit the estimated completion date.

As others have said. It is hit and miss on who is updating it. My unfit was sent to Seattle va on November 28th and I haven't received my prelim ratings either. Others had there unfit early January and have already signed 199. Also, the 1-800 number might be someone in a completely different state then where your claim is. Despite being told numerous times they have a information needed to complete the rating for ides. I had an update jan 22nd saying the new information they received and what it was.

This is the same for me. I checked eBenefits, and it has the claim date as back in October 2012, which is when my MEB process was started. It still says awaiting evidence. The IPEB package was sent to AFPC on 1 Feb 2013,

The list of claimed conditions also did NOT include two conditions that I added with the VA rep after the initial list was written, based on results from the VA exam.

What is this 1-800 number? Is it just for the VA, or for the entire IPEB?

The number is 800-827-1000 and their are a call center for the VA. The only information I believe they provide is what stage you're in and many don't understand us being in the ides system. There favorite thing to say is there is x months typical waiting time but could be longer. The only in depth information I get about va is from my DAV rep.

Once you got your 199/orders, did you have to wait those few months to get out, or did you have a lot of leave to use? Once you get your 199 signed and receive orders, can you just get out right away using your TDY? I NEED to get out ASAP and don't want to wait for 3 months on the transpoc list AFTER I get my ratings.
