Exercise intolerance - hyperthyroidism

I am going through an MEB for mental health reasons although I was just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. It causes exercise and heat intolerance. My heart rate is over 100 at rest and I usually have trouble breathing when lying down. Even with all of this, my doctor hasn't mentioned anything about PT. I don't want to seem like I'm trying to get out of it but some days I'm ready to pass out walking from my car to work. I also don't want to get in trouble for performing so terribly at PT. This could ruin my chance at getting MEBs and i'd be administratively discharged instead.

I want to ask my provider about this but what exactly is my question to her? What are my options? Shouldn't I also be getting MEBd for this condition?

Address your concerns with her and be honest. The PCM is there to make sure you are fit to fight. If you truly cannot do PT then be up front, because your health and safety should take precedence. You can look up the MSD to see if it pertains to you.
