Expedite Memo

Anyone willing to share an example letter for an expedite memo? I was supposed to start my new job in December but got hurt right before getting out. The employer said they would wait for me, but I'm missing out on alot of opportunity sitting in the military waiting for decisions to be made.

My peblo wrote it up, i gave her my tentative job offer for it to be accepted.

My peblo is insisting that the memo is not a thing??? Can I get the contact info for your peblo to figure out where the disconnect is?

It exists, but you have to have a job offer letter to submit with it. Your peblo is suppose to submit it to the PEB.

I have multiple job offers, but she says she has never heard of such a thing and that it would be purely coincidental that you had a shorter time frame based on "some note" asking to have priority.

I need to speak to another peblo that has had experience with the memo.

My lawyer also said he had never heard of such a thing.

Contact your nurse case manager & Ombudsman. Thats how i initially found out about it. They both are suppose to fight for you aswell during this process.

I wish that were true. But my command has a gapped ombudsman billet and I was never hospitalized for my injury and never given a casemanager. I'm on a base where the clinic is slightly bigger than the local 7-11 and the nearest MTF is 3 hours down the road. I just need to speak to a different peblo that knows about this process so that I have ammunition to push back with and get this thing expedited.

Every unit has a nurse case manager, even if they dont contact you during this process. You’re also entitled to speak to an ombudsman. Most of their numbers can be found online.

What branch of service?

Army definitely has an expedite process.

DON most definitely does *not* have an expedite process.

Not 100% sure about AF.
