Good afternoon everyone! Im excited that I came across this website since I am currently in a Medboard. My board was initiated mid Mar 2020 but due to covid restrictions. I recently got my Unfit memo back (23 AUG 2020). From this point on how much time should I expect before I get out (granted no appeals)?

I am in the same position. Here’s a rough timeline for me
MAR - Started the process
JUL - finally finished QTC exams after waiting months due to COVID
August 1st (give or take a few weeks) - get a call from MEB saying the PEBLO should have everything soon
August 25th - va claim for compensation closed (VA.gov)

now I am just waiting. I never received an unfit memo or my ratings. PEBLO said I should get my NARSUM anytime now.

No idea how much longer I have left approximately.

Not bad, you need your NARSUM before anything. Once you get that, if you agree with everything on the NARSUM you sign it and they send it to the PEB. The PEB determines if your fit/unfit. If your determination is unfit, then you’ll be seeing your ratings and so forth. Good luck, and let’s stay in touch.

I received my unfit for duty memo on 2 September but was signed on 21 August. My PEBLO was out so there was a break in communication. Anyone know about how long it's taking to get a rating and your 199? My PEBLO said that's all I'm waiting on. I clear CIF on with my early CIF turn in memo and should be good to go, pending approval of my rating.

Anyone know the timeline? Thanks in advance!

I am also at Ft Carson and in a similar situation as AnotherDay. Exams completed but waiting on NARSUM.

26 May - Referral
29 May - VA Claims
03 September- Exams complete

It took me an extremely long time to get my appointments due to COVID. Once I got them out the way though, the process picked up really quick. Within a few weeks the MEB doctors called me from Fort Hood. It’s taking longer for it to process here at Fort Carson, so they’re sending some of their cases down to hood and bliss (they have a lot more manpower right now than we do). With that being said though, it went back to a standstill for me. Hopefully yours maintains a good pace.

How long after your exams did it take for you to receive your NARSUM?

How long after your exams did it take for you to receive your NARSUM
2-3 weeks. Did you go through a contractor or the VA for exams. I heard if you got your exams through the VA it’s quicker.
Contractor. I think it was a week or two after I completed my exams that I was contacted by someone from the MEB about my case. She explained all my claims had been accepted and that my PEBLO should have it returned to him within a day or two. She said I should expect a call or email to sign my NARSUM soon. A few weeks later and here I am at a stand still. The only change I have seen is from VA.gov saying that my claim for compensation has been closed.

Updated today that the contractor sent the exams back to the VA. My PEBLO said he should be getting my exams soon.

My exams took two weeks for QTC to send to the va/peblo.

Anyone get their 199 recently? If so, can you tell me how long did it take to get after your case was sent to the PEB?

How does one go about clearing CIF early?

I am also wondering how long it takes after your narsum is signed until unfit memo.

Small update.
9/11 I received my MEB case files and my NARSUM. The NARSUM and some of the details from the C&P exams did not accurately and fairly represent my medical conditions for which I am claiming.
9/14 I spoke with legal counsel. Legal counsel informed me of what percentage I am looking at for my DOD condition. Based upon information presented, I have decided to submit a rebuttal.

I hope everything works out for you. And I’m sorry that you feel they didn’t accurately chart your disabilities. I know we’re all anxious to keep this process moving because Covid really stretched our timelines, but keep your head in the fight and do what’s best for you and your future!

Update:
I received my 199 and didn’t go to legal, as that would hold me up an extra week or two. I was content with what I recieved and am anxious to keep the ball rolling. Anyone familiar with the process after you sign your 199? I have already completed the exit counseling with my PEBLO. I’m waiting on leave calculation, and orders....PLEASE ADVISE

Make sure you call your SFAC office to give them your contact information. My office wasn’t tracking me until I called. I got on transproc the day after I contacted SFAC. I should have my orders cut by Thursday according to my HR tech.
