Getting the approval for a MEB

Hello all,
This is my first time using this site, however I am in a unusual situation and need a little bit of advice. So right now I am Active Duty Army stationed in Colorado as a recruiter so being a recruiter the closet mtf we have to us is a Air Force mtf. The problem I am having is that multiple mental health professionals both civilian and military have told me numerous times that I need to be medically separated from the Army which I agree with. My main Psychologist finally also agrees that I am unfit for continued military service which is great the only problem is that I am in the Army and starting a MEB process through an Air Force mtf. The reason this is a problem that the regulations governing MEB process differ from service to service. So me being in the Army According to AR 40-501 our retention standards state that for at least two of my medical conditions I should be referred to a MEB. The Air Force on the other hand has a whole different way of getting you to an MEB according to my psychologist he says that my case must go before the DAWG (Deployment Activity Working Group) to get approval to start a MEB, further more I have looked into some of the Air force regs and the do seem to confirm what he is saying. The Issue I have with this, is that as a member of the Army I should fall under Army regulations not Air Force regulations. I talked to my Psychologist about this he said that wasn't sure exactly what the right process for this was because he agreed that being army I should just go straight to a MEB, but him being Air Force he said that he is required to submit all med records through the DWAG to be approved for a MEB. He told me in the meantime he would submit it to the DWAG and try to figure out if there is different way to go about this and asked me to see if I can try to figure out anything as well so I thought this form may be of some help.
Thanks in advance for any and all help and GOD Bless.

For the Army, you need the P3 profile with both signatures and then they start the MEB. So you want your profile added to e-profile which should get it automatically routed for the second signature. This will automatically trigger the MEB process. I would call up the FT Carson MTF or possibly Madigan at JBLM about getting the profile added to e-profile.

If you are in Colorado, you would be looking at having your MEB processed through Ft. Carson. You would need a P3 profile as @scoutCC states to initiate the MEB, which is something your current behavioral health provider can do for you.

Out of curiosity are you currently facing any legal issues with the recruiting command? Do you have any dialouge with your Batallion Commander? Will he be willing to refer you to the WTU?

From my experience, the recruiting command will want to get you off their books as soon a possible, this will allow them to bring in another body to help accomplish the mission.

Ok thank you this is what my physiologist and I just went over yesterday day so he is going to write a profile that will innate a meb and no I have no legal or negative actions against me but they have talked of me going to a wtu so we will see thanks for the help.
