I am currently going through the IDES process for post laminectomy syndrome and low back pain. I had left lumbar 3-4,4-5,5-Sacral 1 Discectomy on 9/19/16. I also have left leg numbness before and after sugary now due to scare tissue formed around the L1 Nerve. I have tried everything that they can think of the try and get relief. I even have the spinal cord stimulator installed which makes for its own challenges to physical activity. This week I failed my second BCA Weigh ins. Now my command is starting the ADSEP process. Does any one have advice on this subject?

Contact your Defense Service Office. You are not the first person to fail a physical during the IDES process.
I contacted them today and was told that the I would have to go to an ADSEP Board and basically beg to be retained just to finish my board process. I found info on LAPA 2-16 that address duel processing of IDES and ADSEP but she had no idea on the document. That is why I was reaching out here to see if any one else has already been down this road.
