How long from accepting findings, to out?

Hello. My paperwork is coming from HQ tomorrow with the IPEB Decision. (NFFD placement on TDRL with 60%) I am wondering if anyone has recently been through this, and can tell me how long from accepting the finding, will it take to process me out? I need to start doing some serious planning, and this is a major factor. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Chief,

It took the Army 45 days from the day I accepted TDRL until I went on terminal leave. They wanted to do it in 30 days but the PEBLO handling my case was on leave and there were some Federal holidays in the mix.

cheif,
that's one thing to keep in mind. let's say if it takes an average of 30-60 day, or they actually telll you it should be 45 days. you have to think about what holidays fall during that time. unfortunately you probably know how much work gets done around the holidays  w/every one taking leave. good luck and i'm sure u will find some useful information here to assist u w/your case.

Gentlemen; thanks for the quick replies. 45 days is actually must faster than I was expecting. I was sort of Guesstimating that I would be out sometime in June at the earliest. I do not have a lot of Leave on the books, and am not planning to re-locate anytime in the near future, so It may be a quick process. I am scheduled for Transition class in April. Maybe with what I am hearing, I will be out sooner than I think. Perhaps May sometime. I will keep you all posted when I get the actual Retirement date.

Chief,

I would push to have the TAP or DTAP class taken within the next couple of weeks if they can git you in. There is a lot of great information in it, but because of the nature of how long it can take to implement the things you'll learn, it's best to take it earlier rather than later.

A GI Jobs magazine I picked up had an interview with a TAPs organizer/instructor who recommended taking it as early as two years before separation.

Going through the same process myself and was also curious about the timeline. From what I've heard it's approx 45 days, give or take, from signing the concurrence.

I could be wrong, but I'm under the impression that all leave has to be sold back up to the certain point. I believe any amount over 60 days that has been sold can stil be used as leave. So if you've already sold 60 days of leave, you may still get to take Terminal leave or whatever it called.

If you don't have alot of leave, I'm under the impression that they'll want/require you to sell it back before establishing your DOS. This is just in my opinion based on my limited knowledge of the process. It may be different in your case but I just thought I would bring that point up.

Please get confirmation on this before making a decision based on it. I could be wrong, but I just wanted to bring up the point of leave being sold back to aide in the answer of your question
