I am now on MEB and get in trouble

I was arrested last friday night during extra duty time for threatening communication. Because of paranoia and depression, sometimes can’t control my anger. I just say that “After Army, I will buy gun and kill people who threaten me. I will protect me” in front of staff duty NCO. I didn’t intend to harm anyone and that NCO is new to my unit so don’t know him much. He call MP then I was arrested. Before this, I call VA crisis line saying I want to die in front of the Whitehouse or pentagon prove my innocent and resentment.

I was mistakenly treated by Army in 2017-2022 due to false investigation. I was national security risk and undocumented person during that time, which gives me mental disorder. My depression has been worsen and start my meb process. Now I go to behavior heath every week as well as private clinic with TMS theraphy. My private doctor told me my MDD is too severe. I have recurrent Major depressive disorder and Persistent depressive disorder with anxiety as well as paranoia. From C&P exam by VA, I got diagnosed PTSD with depression disorder but not official yet.

What should I do for now? I didn’t know this happen but because of my mental health, I am scary myself. Is there anyone help me? I am now very anxious can’t do anything..

Hey, I just wanted to be upfront with you: what you said was a serious threat, even though you did not mean harm. In the military, words to that effect are taken very seriously, especially given the current state of affairs in the world. You can't talk about getting a gun and killing people, even if you're angry or feeling overwhelmed.

I understand that your mental health may be clouding your judgment. However, such threats carry a lot of serious consequences, not only legally but also with regard to your career and health. It's great that you are undergoing treatment, but this is one of those situations that require you to take responsibility and seek cooperation with a lawyer in order to manage the legal aspects.

From now on, you really have to watch what you say when you're around people who do not know you very well. If you feel like you are losing control or that the situation is getting out of hand, then that is the time to lean on your doctors or the crisis line or someone who could help you before things escalate.

I'm not saying this to form any judgment, just so you may take precautions and not worsen the case further. For the time being, just focus on your treatment and, if possible, some legal advice. That's a very critical situation, but with proper help, you'll be able to get out of it.
