Anyone have an idea of how long it takes for VA pay to start? EAs was NOV 1 still no VA compensation.

Your effective date for VA compensation is the day after your EAS, in your case Nov 2. VA only pays for FULL months, so November does not count as a full month for you. You should receive your first check on January 1st 2024, to cover December, which is your first full month.

That’s crazy lol.

If would have gotten out on OCT 31st then I would’ve been paid for November so 2 days makes a thousand $ difference

Signed findings Friday.
For now you have to wait till you get your new date on MOL or your command will tell you. You cannot do anything that I know of till then. Once you have the new EAS date you can get it changed to way sooner mine went from NOV 15 to NOV 1. Once you get there let me know.

Hey man I have a job lined up and need help getting out as soon as possible if you could help me out
I have a job lined up as well but will start working that job while on terminal leave does that not work for you. I got my findings friday and sign on monday due to being out of town

It depends I need to be out in 30 days do you think it’s possible?

I have read around, If your date is like the 6 or something like that, would it be better to change it to the 31 of the previous month? I have read that it possibly speeds up your va comp. Any insight?

Update mypay just posted my severance pay for NOV 15 only 14 days after my EAS. Pretty sweet Christmas comes early woo!
did your mypay show the actual amount of your severance? Mine is supposed to be a substantial amount, but as of right now the LES say $0

I see you are Army. Might be a bit different on timeline or process on navy/marine timelime

My Va claims re opened a day after my EAS and is now in evidence gathering. So hopefully Va payment rolls in on the 30th :)
Did it show on the va app or the website that your claims reopened? My EAS was Dec 30 but nothing has changed on the va app or the website

did you ever get it figured out? I got my date changed from feb 15 to jan 15
Can I ask how you did this? Is it as simply as calling MMSR-4 and saying “can I move my EAS date closer?”

How long did it take for your EAS to populate after you signed findings ? Signed mine Feb 7th, and how did you go about changing your EAS?
