IPEB verdict

I called my Peblo today and found out that I am unfit for continued duty. However I have terrible leadership and they seem to be annoyed with my MEB. I was wondering if there is anything they can do to stop me from getting out even though the IPEB determined I was unfit for continued duty. FYI I have severe nerve damage in both of my lower legs. Also my case went to the VA to get my rating does anyone know how long that could take?

Nope your command cannot do anything. The PEB is way above them. Just do your best to keep things cordial with the command until you’re out. VA ratings are taking around three months right now from when you were found unfit.

My career field is like that. They keep telling me my MEB "could come back still as RTD" even though I was unfit since December 16 and PEBLO told me there's no chance for fit. It always made me think about what she is trying to do behind the scenes because they already hate that I couldn't deploy but glad to know they cant affect it! Very annoying. My package has been with the VA since 12/16. Haven't been assigned a rater yet but heard it can take up to 60 days for that.

I would plan on not getting anything back until March to be honest. As far as your unit, there are a lot of protections in place for us while going through this process. Do some research and know your limitations. It might make your command mad but it is really out of their hands.

I appreciate it! Yeah, my PEBLO kept stressing "8 weeks total" and I told myself to add to that because all this process has been is never ending waiting since I first had mine initiated! March would be ideal though because I was planning on hopefully being gone sometime in March or April. Fingers crossed!
