IRILO and Non-Duty DES Process

AF Reserve (29+ years - last 20 years drilling reservist after 9 years AD).

Looking for insights and approaches on how to move forward.

I was just referred into the ND-DES pathway after a one-day IRILO for migraines caused by hypertension. ILOD decision on it was a bit confusing (medical recommendation made comments on acute issue during drill and tried to separate the chronic condition). The JAG and approving authority did not place the same caveats on the decision, and gave full ILOD decision.

Further complicating things is that I have two appeals still open for other on-duty incidents and my understanding is that the IRILO should not have occurred with pending appeals still open (original denials took about 18 months, appeals have been open over 6 months already) or at the least the ND-DES process should not start until the other LODs are complete.

I have already requested the IRILO file (if they will give it to me), but of course with a four day weekend, I don't expect an answer anytime soon.

Main question. Is there anyway to appeal an IRILO decision based on not following AF policies? Or am I stuck going alone in the ND-DES process and hoping that I get some traction there?

Second question. Am I supposed to get a full copy of the IRILO package or just a one page form saying I am DQ from future service that I got?

Third question. Should the MTF (and I) been involved in updating the draft NARSUM for the IRILO to include the 'whole body' concept? The first draft was started in December 2024 and pushed to AFRC in January 2025 (never got a copy) so they used something about 15 months old (if they used it).
