Is Having A Higher DOD% Beneficial??

Hello.
New member to the forum.

I am about to go through the MEB process so I've been researching different things and I couldn't find an answer on this question:

Will receiving a higher DOD rating be more beneficial...ever (over 30% of course)? Example: will being rated at 90% DOD be any more beneficial than being rated at 30%?
Especially if one or more of your claimed injuries are combat-related. Will the possible, not-passed-yet but "if passed", Major Richard Star Act help those with a higher DOD rating more than those with lower 30/40%? Or for CRSC currently?

Thank you all.

Hello,

General.

1. 30% DoD is average high three base pay x 30%
2. 90% DoD is average high three average base pay x 75% (max)
3. Unless qualified for another retirement, your DoD pay will be reduced by the amount of your VA compensation
4. CRSC can replace some or all of the waiver/reduction
5. Recommend you review some of the hundreds of recent CRSC computations which also involve the computation of retired pay
