Is there a chance these could be unfit?

My husband was referred to the meb for shoulder problems. He seen someone this past friday who explained the narsum to him but it wasnt time for him to sign it yet. He does the final look over this friday or next week. Anyway, he also has DDD, spondytolic changes noticed, and loss of normal cervical lordosis. Can any of these be considered unfit conditions or looked at as a whole to be unfit. he has real bad neck and back pain. He starts injectios in his neck and back tomorrow. His MOS is welding but since welding is mostly contracted out now, he is in maintenance as a mechanic. So needless to say, with a messed up back and neck it does affect his job. He had been complaining about his back since April of last year but the just kept giving him anti imflammatories. Then when his shoulder messed up they blamed it all on his shoulder. When he had his c and p exam, that doctor actually ordered all the xrays because my husband had all the signs of DDD. It upsets me that this could have possibly been caught by now instead of my husband having to be in pain for over a year now.Sorry this is so long, just looking for some guidiance.

If his condition has been forwarded to the MEB, then there is a chance of either outcome.

He had a labral tear and had surgery in January. By June he still could not do much with his shoulder. So his pcm requested meb and they found another tear plus where he had surgery, tore again. He was told his shoulder is definitely an unfit condition but what about the other things?

It has been forwarded to MEB. So they can add unfit conditions, if they think some should be added? because whoever he seen Friday said his shoulder will be his only unfit condition. He is not sure who it was he seen though. said they just talked about the narsum and it should be ready to sign within a week.

I have the same problem with my shoulder, I was told it was a Unfit as well.

Anything can be added and deemed potentially unfit. When he sees his completed NARSUM/MEB Report, he can write a rebuttal and/or request an impartial review. Talk with legal counsel about it. If the IPEB doesn't include any of the other conditions for rating, he can fight to have them added later. However, I would try and have them added now so you have two chomps at the apple. Just my two cents.
