Well that's reassuring. I mean it's pretty cut and dry according to all my records, VA exam and Narsum that I'm unfit after 23 years but I've become quite the pessimist...lol
After 23 year u shouldn’t even worry about the PEB rating u getting retired. Hopefully your VA examiner didn’t lowball you with the diagnosis.Well that's reassuring. To be honest idk. I kept getting told it was going to take 6-7 months but everything just move fast. I also had everything documented idk if that was part of it but shit it did went pretty quick.Yo that timeline is what’s up! I’m trying to get mine line that! What made the process go so fast?
I don't think they even know, it's an enigma nobody has any clue about. They have to give a wide range because if they told you 3 weeks and it took 6 months you'd be livid..lol glad it was the other way around. To be honest idk. I think thats what it is. But I also seen other timelines here that taken almost if not a year. I would go crazy waiting that long lol.I don't think they even know, it's an enigma nobody has any clue about. I haven’t been placed on a MEB yet. I’m on LIMDU for having arthroscopic surgery on both my hips. I reached out to the surgeon and he said he would not start a MEB on me for at least a year post surgery. But I can go through a different specialist, so now my plan is to have the TBI clinic initiate a MEB if I decide to go that route. I have a documented TBI with loss of consciousness and a positive mace exam from my first combat deployment in Afghanistan. I was a 20 year old kid and didn’t think I deserved a Purple Heart compared to my buddies who were shot and missing limbs. But now I have a lot of messed up things and tomorrow I should know the outcome of the Purple Heart board I don’t see it being denied I had plenty of documents and endorsements. I just requested all of my digital medical records and the 3rd class said she’s going to take care of mine by the end of the week To be honest idk. The route I used in conjunction with surgery was pain management. Went and got epidurals and said no change after epidurals numerous times, after that pain management made the referral. Surgeon eventually made a referal as well. Good luck man. I feel your frustration.I haven’t been placed on a MEB yet. I’m on LIMDU for having arthroscopic surgery on both my hips. I have done lots of research and know I will get CRSC as long as the DOD finds my disability combat related. Writing all this down it seems like I’m a shoe for at least 75 dod and 100 percent P&T and SMC-K and maybe SMC-L I guess I’m just scared lol I also want the process to be 6 months or less because I don’t want it to drag out and I’m just done with the military.
A whole year after surgery just to start the MEB? That’s wild. I was on a temporary profile for almost 400 days straight before I had back surgery, and about four months after my PCM referred the MEB because nothing else worked not even physical therapy or multiple epidural steroid injections. I was in my PCM’s office constantly, every week, documenting everything and making sure they knew I couldn’t perform my duties. I even went to the patient advocate to report the situation because it felt like I was being ignored.I haven’t been placed on a MEB yet. I’m on LIMDU for having arthroscopic surgery on both my hips.
