I'll be 7 days over the Goal and 2 day over the Army average today. I don't know what the hold up is. All of my ratings are back and I even know they gave me perm. VA. X.X

Is the average still at the 14 day mark? I don’t get a chance to check the dashboard, kind of confined to limdu at home.
I was at transitions this week. They looked at my leave and have me starting leave on March 5th. One thing I didn’t know was that as soon as your terminal leave ends, that is your last day in the army. It is true that you have 90 days from the time you get your orders, but that’s the maximum you can wait until your out of the army. He said the goal for the transitions office until you start terminal leave is about 26 days. I had 60 days of leave saved up. I start my terminal leave on March 5, so that means May 5 will be my last day in the army. Just something I wanted to let you know because I was in the dark before this. So from now until March 5 I am just clearing base and base housing. I was supposed to get some more clearing stuff done tomorrow but got stuck on another staff duty shift. Lol
Finally got a hold of my PEBLO yesterday. I asked him for an update on my 199 and he told me it had to be sent back due to errors. Not sure how long it will take to get. I knew about the 90-day thing. Between leave and PTDY I have 90 days so I guess I just won't put in for 20 days PTDY. I have cleared Bragg in a day and a half so I guess as long as I have 5 days to clear once I get my orders that is good. So did you actually receive your orders already?

Next week will be the fourth week. I’ve got all the ratings back(permanent determination on DOD side)...unfit memo and everything else but still nothing...I got in touch with the head of the MEB department out here and he said there are people who have been waiting since January for their 199’s. You’re a super soldier because no way in hell I would be pulling staff duty if I had started my clearing process! Did you not take any PTDY?Last time I looked it was between 12-14. I’m going on week four starting Monday. Who knows...maybe it will come in today sometime.

Well I know if you have your unfit memo you can clear CIF early if your command signs off on it. And no. I just took 60 days of my leave so I didn’t risk getting my leave form kicked backStill haven’t got my 199
I cleared CIF weeks ago. I only have my LVL 5’s to turn in. Also done with SFLTAP except for my finance stuff. Couldn’t you submit a separate DA31 with a PTDY request so your terminal leave would start immediately after you cleared post?
I called the VA yesterday to see what was going on with my 199. They said they received it back from the PEB, made the corrections, and sent it back. PEBLO said he couldn't see it in the system yet. I haven't received an unfit memo even though my PEBLO said I was found unfit. Could I just type up a memo and have my command sign it to pre-clear CIF? Once I receive my orders I will have 77 days leave and up to 20 days PTDY. I plan on clearing as fast as possible and starting leave within a week of receiving orders.
There’s a couple of us all waiting at that same step. All awaiting DA 199s. I was originally told 2-3 weeks from the day I was called and told I was found unfit. Headed into week 3 now, I honestly think it’ll be pushed towards a month.
You really can’t tell at this point. There are soldiers getting it back in a couple months ( 199 ) then others in a couple weeks.
Who did you call at the VA? What department to get information on the 199?
I just went to the VA site and instead of emailing I called the 800 number. Gave them my info and he was able to look up my info. Hopefully, I hear something from my PEBLO on Mon. since he said he's off on Fridays that means he's only working from home 4 days a week. Part of the problem with the backup we have in the MED board.
My information got submitted DEC 21 for my 199. Still hasn’t come back yet. Soldiers submitted their stuff Jan 14 and got them back today. Wtf man.
I’ve got this week left in me and I’m going to have to start buzzing my senators line. It’s no way this should be taking this long. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Covid or no covid, it’s pressing buttons. I don’t see the challenges.
I feel you on that one. It’s possible that I’ll end up doing the same thing. Earlier I went to the JBSA ICE website on filed a complaint through there. I feel for those soldiers who have been waiting even longer than I have. The “covid” excuse is bs.
Appointments being messed up, easily understood. It’s the paperwork that I’m unable to justify taking ages. I feel for anyone before me as well. But for myself, the nail in the coffin is me turning away opportunities that aren’t coming back and the best answer I’m getting is “well since covid”.
I’ve watched so many jobs open and close on USAJOBS man. It’s depressing...I won’t even get started on houses either. My wife has a federal job and was more productive when she was teleworking. On the other hand there are people who use the covid excuse to ride it out and do less than bare minimum. I think a lot of us are seeing the product of that first hand.
