Wish I could help you guys. I think I just got lucky getting my 199 semi-early even though I waited a couple months for it. I will say though, once you get your 199 and go to transitions. Things move very fast. Got my 199 like two weeks ago and I go on terminal leave March 5 with my last day in the army being May 5.
A couple months?! That made my eye twitch. One question though. Did you have to wait until March 5 to start your terminal leave or did you personally, make that choice?
You could start earlier. Personally I just had a lot to do between moving out of housing, inspection, clearing base and everything else. The goal for transitions is for someone to leave 26 days after they get their 199. I had to give housing a 30 day notice or pay rent for an extra month. I also didn’t take into account that the military only pays to ship one vehicle because I shipped my wife’s car to Alaska and drive mine up here and I can’t drive out of here in the winter. So that was a whole other problem. But yes, me and the transitions guy just both decided March 5 gave me enough time to do everything.
It will be 2 months for me on the 22nd waiting on this 199. X.x

I'm with you all. The virus has given all the lazy people an excuse not to work. There is no way this process should take this long. The whole system is broken. If the Soldiers are working every day during the virus then the civilians that support the Soldiers should be expected to work. If they can't do their job from home then fire them and hire someone who can. My board has been going on since May and my family is moving to another state once I'm out. I can't plan anything right now.
They have no idea how much of an inconvenience they’re causing. At this point if I don’t get 100 from VA I’m screwed. And I know they left out parts of my claim to rate me at 90. So yeah. Im getting screwed.
Somebody made a major move from what I heard and dropped an email ALL the way up the chain. Someone got a phone call and it may have lit a fire under somebody’s @$$-

I don’t know if it was a coincidence or not but my case was in a writing status at the same spot since Dec 21 and now it updated to Feb 7. It’s still in the writing stage but somethings happening with it.

Well so far no change or update. Still waiting on 199. I called the VA 2 weeks ago and they said they fixed the issues and sent it back to the PEB. How long can it possibly take someone to open up my 199 and make the corrections and send it out? Absolutely ridiculous.
Well...almost 2 months for me...so who knows at this point. I’m just hoping other people aren’t having to wait like this because WOW is this frustrating.
Welp I called to touch basis with my peblo anndddd you guessed it, nothing. All fingers point to JBSA being the bottle neck. At least I now know that’s where my PEB is.

Give them a call and tell them you’ve got the 199 signed. They’ll have you fill out a questionnaire so they can get started on the orders as soon as it hits their system.
