A quick backstory on my case: On 25APR2017 I went in for a standard Epidural Steroid Injection into my L5 vertebrae, the doctor administering the shot went too deep and hit nerves causing damage that has me now walking with a cane and left me with half the feeling in my right leg alongside of weakness on the same side and put me in the hospital for nearly 3 full days. My Navy doc submitted me for LIMDU on 28APR2017. Also, my MRI came back showing bulging discs at T8/T9, and L5-S1 were also bulging and showing signs of degeneration. I have was active duty for 71/2 years and recently converted to FTS Navy.
My questions are as follows:
1) How long does it take to receive LIMDU orders after the doc submits the appropriate paperwork?
2) After my 6 months of LIMDU(if I am found fully fit), will I be able to return to my current command or will I be forced to negotiate new orders to another command?
3) With the Disc Degeneration/Bulging/Nerve Damage, what is the likelihood of my case going straight to a MEB?
Thank you all in advance for your input!
