I am facing a MEB for heart conditions. Had 5 different heart related surgeries in one year. I have a CRT-D (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator) implant, it’s a pacemaker and defibrillator combo. My understanding is for VA ratings that having a defibrillator is a 100% disability rating on its own for entire time device is implanted. I will have this device for rest my life, just keep replacing the battery when needed.

Has anyone been in this situation and is this accurate information for VA, and what was your DOD rating? I’m on permanent blood thinners so there’s no way I can be found fit for duty.

Hy Everyone,
Interesting topic. While CRT-D discussions usually focus on battery longevity and device reliability inside the body, it’s a reminder of how critical stable power systems are in any technology. Even in everyday devices like laptops, inconsistent power or low-quality components can lead to performance issues over time. I’ve seen similar concerns when people ignore compatibility or quality in smaller devices. That’s why I found it helpful to look into reliable power solutions like Buy Laptop Batteries & Chargers in Dubai | Buy Online UAE not for medical use obviously, but it highlights how choosing the right battery and charger can make a big difference in long-term performance and safety across devices.
