I am facing a MEB for heart conditions. Had 5 different heart related surgeries in one year. I have a CRT-D (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator) implant, it’s a pacemaker and defibrillator combo. My understanding is for VA ratings that having a defibrillator is a 100% disability rating on its own for entire time device is implanted. I will have this device for rest my life, just keep replacing the battery when needed.

Has anyone been in this situation and is this accurate information for VA, and what was your DOD rating? I’m on permanent blood thinners so there’s no way I can be found fit for duty.
