MEB/PEB Fort Jackson

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My case was submitted to PEB on Sep 17th. PEBLO stated 6-10 week before orders and clearing
I applied for a government job around then, knowing that the process is lengthy and difficult. I received notification of a tentative offer from the hiring manager but they said they cannot post it to USA jobs because I do not have a DD214 or VA ratings. The Hiring manager said they will wait a while but will have to terminate the offer if they dont receive the documents.

What can i do to to speed up the process?
I sent my PEBLO the email conversation as well as a commanders Memorandum requesting expedite but she will not submit it. any information would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing. Doing this stuff ahead hoping that you get out in time usually leads to heartbreak. That is why its best to not apply until you have retirement orders and DD214 in hand.

This process is so crazy, how are Soldiers supposed to plan? I'm sure were all in agreeance that its almost unethical with the limited amount of information that is given to these soldiers with their health care.

You plan the things you can but anything with a hard stop is a no go. My wife was in IDES for 14 months. Thought it would take 6-8. the good news is that due to covid policies she was able to save 88 days of leave and so she had a lot of time saved up where she was still getting paid long after getting out.

The best way to do it is to leave yourself with a long runway by saving all of your leave throughout the process. That combined with 20 days PTDY should give you a bunch of terminal leave that will give you a runway to do things like finding housing and job. Also, save as much as you can in a rainy day fun so that you have a longer runway after terminal leave is used up.
