MEB Timeline/Questions

My PCM pushed my case up to the AMRO board and they reviewed my case on Wednesday 12 Nov. My PCM then messaged me stating I have to schedule an appointment with them to discuss what was talked about, their decision, plan for further action, and stated there were a lot of details to discuss. They didn't say anything about if the AMRO board decided to push for MEB or return back to duty (I've been returned to duty once before). I have an appointment with the provider on Monday the 17th but I am nervous on what the decision was since they won't tell me anything until the appointment. I have been trying to MEB and get out for a couple years now with no luck even though I haven't been able to take a full PT test since 2017 and I've been full exempt since 2022. I have an assignment in the system with a report date of 31 Dec but have been trying my best to get this MEB pushed so I can get the assignment dropped.

If AMRO decided to push for MEB, will the code show up in my AMS before my PCM appointment on Monday? I've checked every day since they reviewed my case but haven't seen anything in the system and my assignment is still there. How long does it take for the code to show up?

how close are you to reaching 20 year regular reitrement?

I just hit 13 years
Okay since you aren't very close to hitting 20 years I would focus on treatment. It's okay to want to get out but if the doctors feel that is your primary goal they will wonder if you are being honest about your symptoms. Regardless of whether they put you in full IDES or return you to service, I would state that you are doing everything you can to treat the conditions. Ask what else, you can do or if their are any other treatment options? When you run out of options and the condition is believed to be unfitting so that there isn't any jobs that you can do in the AF then it will lead to full MEB/IDES.

Sorry, I can't answer your question about the code showing up. Also, if you do get put in IDES I would strongly consider hiring a private IDES attorney from the very start. Makes the process much less stressful and by having a proactive dedicated IDES attorney you can determine what is a reasonable goal end result, what things you can do to shape your case while going through it, & to have a thoughtful well written appeals that your attorney does for you instead of making you do the work and JAG just giving you some basic advice.
