I don’t know if this is the right forum or if even anyone here can help. I am looking at pursuing a job opportunity that is for a company in a foreign country that has ownership ties to government but not operational. That’s problem one that I can work to figure out. The other is I came across this CRS and not sure if it is true or applicable. If there is a better resource somewhere please help….

Not sure if you are prior Air Force. However the rules are likely similar as they are based on federal law. You likely need approval for any employment from an overseas government or instrumentality of a government .
“Q1: Who should apply for Foreign Government Employment (FGE) approval?
A1: Any prior member of the Department of the Air Force seeking employment from a foreign government or entity.”
The Air Force handles this through the Foreign Government Employment Board.
