Hi everyone, I'm new here. I recently was informed by my MH Provider that I would be headed for a medboard. I am just under 10 years AD and am an E-6 in my branch. I have a few questions I would love some help with:
What is the average timeline for the entire medical retirement process? I say retirement because my conditions will definitely put me above the 30% mark.
If I am retired at 10 years, how does retirement pay work? I feel like everywhere I look, I am seeing so many different answers. I understand I can get a VA disability rating, but am I also able to get retirement pay from the DoD at the same time, or is it one or the other only?
