I have potentially two unfitting conditions. What happens if one hits MRDP and is stable before the other? Will the MEB move along or do they wait another 6 months or a year before the other one stabilizes?

So if the PEB rules both unfitting but one stable and one not you will have a portion as PDRL and another portion TDRL. So if 30% stable unfitting and 30% unstable unfitting then your total DOD% is 50%. However, 30% is PDRL and will stay that way forever meaning you are guaranteed to hit the threshold to stay medically retired regardless of the outcome with the other condition. The other 30% unstable condition will be reviewed in 6-18 months. That condition will be reviewed and must be put on PDRL within 36 months or it falls off and you lose it all together. So especially for the unstable condition make sure to continue to get treatment at the VA until your branch determines the condition is PDRL. If you don't see treatment they will assume you are recovered and give you a 0% rating.

I was in a similar situation as you describe and the MEB moved along. I tried to get my other condition included in my MEB referral as "not meeting retention standards," I had a torn rotator cuff that required surgery, but my doctor wouldn't refer it for MDRP because they said I should do more physical therapy on it (even though it was injured over a year prior and I had done a round of PT). I was able to add it to my conditions and the VA rated it, but the MEB agreed with my doctor and ruled it had not reached the MDRP also so it didn't go to the IPEB for a fitting ruling. It seemed to me though if you talk to your doctor and they're willing to write it up that it has stabilized / not likely to improve, it could be included.
