In regards to medical retirement:

"The basic retirement formula is:

YOS x 2 ½ % x retired base pay; OR

% of disability (not to exceed 75%) x retired pay base"

Does being in the BRS plan change that to 2% like normal 20 year retirement or is the medical retirement formula the same across the board? Can't find anything directly addressing that part and was referred to this forum. A quick keyword search didn't bring anything up either.
Currently 14 active years with 17 years for pay and in the blended system.

Hello @apples871

2% is used for the BRS , EVEN for a disability retirement if the longevity computation is used (instead of disability percentage formula).

Vol 7B,
CH 1;
2-3-2.
