I've posted on here before but can't find any info on being MEB'd for Other Reactions to severe stress as the driving factor.
As previously stated, survived suicide attempt, 10 Feb will be the anniversary. Got out of In-patient with flowers and chocolates in hand on Valentines-day to apologize to my wife and 10-day old daughter.

Had a couple of IOP's, trying to get better but have hit the 12 mo mark and now Facing MEB at 17 yr 5 mo.

Was Aircrew and CSAR, now writing evals and decs for 350 Amn in a Mx Sq.
Want to make it to 20, also having a hard time adjusting to not being high speed anymore. Or being a part of the brotherhood.

Mx didn't get my style, so I was removed from position and lost it a few months later.
It was difficult to be removed from a leadership position, also difficult to see my 97 troops faces light up whenever they came up for Admin things.
I was the only E-7 for that shop, as a forced cross trainee.

If MH is the driving factor, should that automatically hit the 30%+ mark for PDRL?
I do not have 10K for an attorney at the moment.

Will put in for SCRC regardless, AAM & ACM w/C Devices. Meritorious unit with V.

Biggest things that bug me are the History of suicide attempt marked N. And CC Impact Statement stating Not Combat Related...
Stating that condition was aggravated by service...

Cheers,

I believe the DODI states you’re entitled to a disability attorney from the military for advice.

Yea, I hired a private attorney IAW PROVIS' Guidance.
The peace of mind will keep me stable through this process and is worth every penny in my opinion. I wanted to thank this forum for the work they do to look out for military members. The MEB process is lengthy and confusing.

After I self-Identified for alcohol in 2016, I was DNIF'd for 11 months and it interrupted my flying career. I had to sign a waiver to never drink again while on active duty if I wanted to continue my flying career, which I failed to maintain 3 years later.

I have been paranoid with reporting mental health issues to the AF ever since.
I tried to get off base help without paying out of pocket for 3 months before my incident. The AF stated that I could not be seen off base due to their capabilities on base.
I lost it shortly after.

Every battle I have fought against the AF I have lost.
Sometimes you need a professional to fight those battles for you.
That professional should be looking out for my interest, not the interests of the corporation for which they are employed.

God Speed to those who are fighting their internal and external battles simultaneously.
I feel you, and just know that the next mission you should be focused on, is OPERATION FAMILY/SELF

"Service Before Self", but to a point. I drank the CoolAid.. It didn't do me any favors when I was easily replaced.

That Others May Live (TOML)

Your medals will not carry the water for CRSC, unless the citation is specific. As for MH, the diagnosis by the VA examiner is important. Lots of time AD docs will be nebulous about the diagnosis to keep you in the game.
