Migraine-Results deployable with waiver

Not sure if this is the forum to post on, but I learned that AMRO came back with the results Deployable with Waiver.
So my question is, how do I go about getting MEBd for the migraines? I just pcs’d and my pcm seems to not really care or listen when I explain that my migraines have gotten worse and they are so much more debilitating now a days. I don’t know if it’s because I’m at a base that is at a higher altitude or what, but I get migraines all the time.
She put in a referral for me to see neurology but after reaching out to the off-base neurologist office, they told me after waiting for a month that they’ve reached out several times for records and what not and no one has returned to them. And then to make it this whole process more stressful, tricare won’t let me have the medication Nurtec anymore because they’re saying that I’ve never had it issued when I’ve been on it for at least a year. I’m at a loss of what to do right now because my quality of life has significantly reduced to just laying in the bed all day on my days off and when I get home because nothing helps with the pain.
And because of this fiasco with the neurologist office, I’m going to be over due for my Botox treatment next month and I'm really scared that the missed Botox is gonna send me further down this path of misery.

I’m just so lost because I have no energy to keep up with the pace of my new job and with trying to deal with these migraines. They’re taking hold of my life at this point.

Thanks in advance.

My wife was MEB'd due to migraines. The fastest way to go that route is to focus on your health. Migraines that stop you from doing your job make you unfit. So if you are missing work all the time due to them that would be a sign. Also, you need to be on a profile. That protects you and shows your limitations. Most chronic migraine suffers that get MEB have a profile stating their limitations and those limitations prevent them from doing their job and being fit for duty.

I’ve never been on one as they were controlled pretty well before but this past year they’re going down hill. Did she get the profile from medical or was it from her neurologist? Did she ask for the profile or did they just initiate it? My pcm told me if they get that bad that I should go to the er to get to intravenous meds but idk how often that’s even ok to do. Speaking in terms of my body. Like if those meds are ok for frequent use.

She was AGR so she had a profile packet filled out by her private doctor. She was Tricare prime remote as there was no medical bases within 50 miles of where she was stationed. You won't get anywhere without a profile and your PCM or specialist can do them if they are military. Going to the ER, missing work are the only ways to show them that they are really bad. You have to look at it form there point of view. If you can do your job and they aren't stopping you from living your life they aren't bad enough to warrant a profile. A profile leads to a MEB if they don't get better after exhausting all treatment. My wife still has terrible ones preventing her from living a normal life. She is in bed daily with them and has 20 days a month where is not able to leave her bed. They are really bad and they have exhausted all treatment options. We are going to alternative treatments now because the Botox injections and everything else hasn't helped.

I hate being the squeaky wheel or the person who’s “always gone” but I’m at a point where I don’t enjoy life at all because of them. In the past month I’ve had two days without a migraine.

Yeah it stinks to be that person but remember that person is the one they want to get rid of LOL. Soldiers that can do their job don't really have a case for a profile or even being unfit for the condition that is causing issues.

I guess I’m definitely going to have to start getting these migraines documented more even if that means having to leave and go to medical more often.
