So I am at 22 years and have been preparing to submit to retire as I have been prepping for my civilian career. Last week I found out that back in April when I was diagnosed with sleep apnea that they put a code 37 on me. I was never informed and found out by chance last week because I called the clinic about something. I have received a job offer at a place I have been actively pursuing and was planning to apply for retirement this month. Because of this code 37 I am unable to apply for retirement. The Peblo submitted a modified RILO this morning in hopes of getting the code 37 removed so I can apply for retirement. She said it generally takes about 3-5 days to get an answer, though because I have not applied for retirement yet nor am I 60 days from my desired retirement date that they could possibly not accept it and she would have to submit a regular RILO.
What are peoples experiences with the time frame of the RILO. How likely am I to get the sleep apnea initiated code 37 removed?
I do not want to deal with a MEB. I just want to put in my retirement and retire at 22 years without any complications and with my desired time frame so I do not have to turn down the civilian job. Is there anyway since I want to put in for retirement to bypass all this stuff?
