More exams?

So I have been in this process from the time of referral to the MEB till now of over 200 days and my VA claim has been with them for almost 6 months. I sat in step 5 for a hot minute and just the other day dropped back to step 2 and then moved to step 3 now the VA is requesting more exams for body parts that were already covered under my original exams back in October. I’m assuming this is normal? Both DBQs were favorable for these conditions and the one was what triggered my MEB and required surgery and now I am looking at having to get poked and prodded again and hope a new provider thinks the same. I wonder how much more this will delay my process? I was already found unit by the PEB and was just waiting on proposed ratings….

So the VA must not have what it needs from the DBQ's to provide a rating or you got audited and they found the information lacking. Not normal but also not a cause for concern. Just make sure that any new exams or additional information that you make sure they have all the information needed to give you a rating. The PEB needs the rating especially for any unfitting conditions.

I'm thinking it may have been an error on the side of the rater as I just logged in and under files it says exam requested and right below it in details it says no longer needed. Probably just clicked a wrong button that in turn has triggered everyone to respond the normal way with the automated emails and calls from VES.
