CRSC Timeline - Army

This board has been really helpful and just wanted to post my timeline since seeing michael.collins01’s and scottymotech’s post was very helpful and informative.

Timeline:

May 21, 2025 - CRSC claim has been received by HRC

July 20, 2025- Received HRC 60 day email.

Aug 22, 2025 - CRSC Approval Letter in iPERMS

Aug 25, 2025 - DFAS has received my CRSC approval letter

Just waiting on CRSC pay and backpay. I am hoping mine is as fast as scottymotech and michael.collins
 
Congrats, looks like you’re following a similar trajectory. Check mypay, see if you have the CRSC tab. The retro pay and monthly pay will be there when they process. The backpay actually showed up in my pay before the bank by about 3 days. My first regular payment lands on the 1st.

My guess is backpay will hit in a couple weeks, and regular pay the 1st.

Did your letter still have the 6 year backpay limit?
 
Thanks. I hope so and was pretty happy how fast it took. For some reason, I’ve always had the CRSC tab for months now but nothing is populated yet as expected.

Yeah. It still has the “Six Year Statue of Limitations” on the letter.

Do you mind if I ask how much it was? Not trying to get too personal, just curious.
 
My backpay was in the low 5 digits. I was medically retired just January this year.
 
Ahh...I have no idea what to expect. I got out in 2014 but didn't realize I qualified for CRSC until I started reading these forums. I applied around the end of June.

I just hope they don't say no backpay because of that DoD memo. You're our canary. Your decision was made after August 20. Just crossing my fingers.
 
Mike T’s info from Army’s CRSC department about how they are using the application date for the Aug 20 soft guideline has been right and I haven’t heard anyone yet that has an application date before that not receiving their backpay. So hopefully everything good so far. While the “six-year statute of limitations” doesn’t apply to me, that stipulation was still in my CRSC award letter though. They have not updated that yet.
 
Also I was just fortunate I heard about it early due to the RSOs ( Retirement Service Officers ) and even my PEBLO was telling us all about it during the IDES / MEB process.
