Every time I try the "chat with the VA" it says "Your inquiry is important to us. If you are trying to reach us within our service hours, we are experiencing a high volume of chats. Please try us again soon." I have never been able to get through. Same goes for that number. It hangs up on me after notifying me that all representatives are assisting other callers.

Can't you schedule a callback from the VA using IRIS or something like that? It took me a few tries to get through using the chat. Try at lunch time, and at the end of the workday. I got through at 1230 Pacific Time yesterday.

yes just keep calling them till you get that option.

Finally got through to them. Apparently, I have three service related conditions that I had not claimed. I didn't think I could claim my broken ankle because it happened several years ago during pt, but I can. I was emailed a form to fill out that would add the additional claims. Hopefully, this does not add too much time to the process, but I am glad to be able to add them before I separate.

That's good news. Glad to hear it. I hope I hear back soon as well.
 
If you call after hours, like about 9 pm Eastern time, it should be a males voice on the recording and it will give you the option to schedule a call back for the following day. They do call you back. If it's the female on the recording...the system just hangs up.

Yea thats the way ive had to do it everytime, ive also had some luck during the day clicking the chat with VA on ebenefits, and when it says high volume or they cant do it i just close and reopen a few times (sometimes like 15 or 20) and eventually it connects me, its worked 3 times for me.
 
Got my findings yesterday afternoon. Found unfit. My PEBLO said I was lucky to get them. Apparently they're behind almost 180 days.

That's great. I figured you would get them soon. We seem to be in the same boat through this process.
 
Super excited!!! I finally was able to talk to someone over the VA chat and found out the VA rated me two days ago and my package has been sent back to the PEB. Just waiting for the call from my PEBLO letting me know she received my rating and I can sign and separate!

Yeah, I only got 10% DoD/ 10% VA, however I'm glad to be moving on with life. I've been waiting since August 5th, so it took about 2 and 1/2 months to hear back from the PEB. Back to college for me.

I claimed left knee pain from compensating for my gimp leg, but they didn't give me anything for it. They said my ankle swelling and pain was tied to my knee, so they didn't give me anything for my ankle either. The 10% was for the knee only.
