Naval Medical Center San Diego - Timeline

RAD 19 Jan, PDRL 20 Jan
Awesome! I’m still waiting for my dates and message from OIX because they decided to send my package to QA with the Air Force. But they did that on 15 nov so I’m hoping they return it quickly (hahaha) and give me dates end of January. I see recently they have been tagging everyone at 60 days out.

Just received notification from the VA about my proposed ratings that are dated December 2024. Was told by the VA that my PEBLO should have gotten these but my PEBLO says they haven't. Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know what my next step could be? I'm totally confused with this now due to what the VA and PEBLO told me.

No. But they should be a part of your final DoD rating that you signed
That's the thing. I haven't signed anything. I haven't been contacted by anyone. The only reason I found out about the VA proposal was because I called the 800 number and they told me about it and also emailed me the document. I then called my PEBLO and she had no clue what's going on and why I have the document but she doesn't even though the VA rep told me she was sent the same thing.

PEBLO that is referenced in the letter isn't your PEBLO, it's the PEB Presiding Officer back in Washington DC.

That's odd because the VA rep told me that it was sent to my PEBLO and it's the same person I've been dealing with and the same person I signed documents before submitting things to Washington.

This is one of those situations where the right hand doesn't know what the left does.

Well this sucks because I'm in limbo now. Proposed ratings since 4 Dec and yet crickets and confusion since then SMH

So, your letter closed 4 Dec? Another guy on here had a very similar timeline and got their stuff on Friday 1/10.

My letter is dated 9 December actually and this is what it states.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country. This letter provides a proposed estimate
of your Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits to assist you with your transition and
financial planning following your discharge from active duty.

Your military service department requested a disability assessment from VA because you were
found unfit for continued military service. A final rating decision and entitlement to VA benefits
are contingent upon your service being deemed honorable for VA purposes at discharge. In the
event you are not separated from service, as a result of the Integrated Disability Evaluation
System (IDES) process, this rating will be null and void for the purposes of entitlement to VA
benefits.

You're right in the window to receive your stuff. I would consider giving Jeff a call if it goes past Wednesday (1/15).

Did the Va app showed closed for you or did you just get a letter. I got an envelope inbound today from the evidence intake center, trying to figure out why I’m getting something in the mail. Found unfit back in mid November.

I don't know what the percentage is but I do know that some cases get pulled into an additional advanced QA screening which can add several extra weeks to a case. As Rekmor said, I think if you don't hear back by Wednesday, and definitely if not by the end of the week, then I would reach out to Jeff because he can tell you exactly where it's at and if you got pulled.

No I called the VA myself and they helped me. The VA website didn't show any of the process or cases for me for some reason so the VA rep dug and found everything for me. He then emailed me the letter. I called my PEBLO and they had no clue. This was on Thursday. I got my call Monday morning with my findings and I'm going to sign off on everything Wednesday morning . I was told 30-90 days for orders but my last two coworkers got them within 30 days
