Navy Reservist

I received my MRR findings of NOT PHYSICALLY 4QUALIFIED-RETENTIONS NOT RECOMMENDED. I have 19 years and few months of service.

The options given were:

1. Appeal Board recommendation by PEB.
2. Transfer to retired reserve.
3.Request LOD-B for disability evaluation System (DES)
4. Discharge.

I have 30 days to make a decision and would love to hear from the experienced members what's the best'option from the above.

Thanks in advance.

They also used the Resperman 6000-010 I, 4(d) that states:

(d) Not Physically Qualified/Retention Not Recommended (NPQ/RNR): Member may complete correspondence courses only. The member will be assigned an administrative MAS code (i.e. AAP or ARR)

Delay to hit 20 good years. If you can get a 20 year letter you will get Reserve pay at eligible age + VA compensation. If you don't reach 20 then any VA pay you get will offset your earned reserve pension.

Can you request to stay in and reach 20 good years and then be put in the Retired Reserves? In the Army you can do that if non duty related condition but need to stay in a bit longer. In the Army they called COAR which stands for Continue on Active Reserves and its meant for those who are close to reaching 20 good years.

The LOD takes time and I hope to get to 20 by the time is over

I'm 6+ months from notification and my package still hasn't passed REDCOM to be submitted to PERS. So it can take a while for sure.

This is totally late, however, they just put the nav admin out for the Employ Program, if you are navy. Not sure on the stipulations for it.

I've attached it. It says it is for Active Duty and TAR Sailors. Does not mention SELRES.
