Good evening everyone, I was needing help with my CRSC calculations. I was active duty 14years 1 month, High 3 is $3642, my VA rating is 100%, DOD rating is 80%. CRSC approved for 50% PTSD. I also have two kids under 18. If anyone could help me with what would be my actual payment I would be very grateful. Thanks again...

1. H-3 3642 x 0.75 (max) DOD = 2731.50 all waived due to VA offset

2. 14.083 yrs x 2.5% = 35.2% multiplier

3. H-3 3642 x 0.352 = 1281.98 longevity portion of retirement

4. Approved CRSC
a. 50% spouse 2 children = 1039.41
b. 50% no spouse 2 children = 951.41

5. CRSC payable = either 4a or 4b
Note: no spouse mentioned

Hey thank you so much for helping me Mr. Ron, deeply appreciated.

Hello,

I would happy to provide an estimate. I need your high three for two components of the computation.

If your Army /DOD was 70%, what is the gross ret pay on your DFAS RAS. I can use that (gross / 0.70 = H-3).

Regards,
Ron

Yes high 3 is 3200

Yes high 3 is 3200
IF your high three is 3200 as you said and NOT the gross on your DFAS RAS, the following applies:
Los 8 years 5 months
Retired e7 but only because I was promotable at the time
High 3 unknown
Va 100%
Army 70 Pt
Crsc 100%
spouse and 4 children

———

Computation

1. 8.417 yrs x 2.5% = 21.04% multiplier
2. H-3 3200 x 0.2104 = 673.28 longevity portion of retirement and also the CRSC amount as 100% CRSC would be higher

CRSC = 673.28

Hello everyone,

I received my CRSC letter last week and I was approved for 70%. I would like to ask for assistance calculating the amount of CRSC that I am entitled to. Here is my information, I was medically retired, USN/E6 (DoD 30% PDRL), I receive VA compensation (80%), my LOS is 10yrs 5months 21 days, High 3 is $2856.00, I have a spouse and no children. Thanks in advance.

Doc:

1. H-3 2856 x 30% DoD = 856.80 med ret...all waived due to 80% VA comp
2. 10.417 yrs x 2.5% = 26.04% multiplier
3. H-3 2856 x 26.04% = 743.70 dollar amt of longevity portion of retired pay
4. CRSC 70% with spouse = 1481.48
5. CRSC payable = 743.70 (less than item 4--CRSC for CH 61 retirees is the lesser of the amounts determined via item 3 and item 4)

Thank you for your assistance RonG. I was informed by DFAS that my CRSC account was established yesterday (8-8-2018), and my first CRSC payment will be deposited on 8-31-2018. They are currently conducting an audit on my account for any retroactive pay owed by DFAS and VA. Once again thank you! -Doc V-

Hey Doc when did you submit for CRSC? I submitted September 9th 2017 and havent heard anything. Wondering how long yours took.

I applied in June 2017 and still have not heard anything as well. Hopefully we both will hear something soon.

I submitted my claim August 2017 approved 2 August 2018

I called a few days ago to check the status and they tell me it is still processing. They said it takes 12 months and this one guy told me his took as long as 15 months.

Sorry Bryndanc for my late response. I submitted my Navy CRSC application on July 6, 2018 via email. I received an email on the same day from the Navy's CRSC Board saying that my application was received. My CRSC approval letter came in the mail on July 26, 2018. I called DFAS on August 8, 2018 to verify if they had received my CRSC award letter, and they said that they received it on July 30, 2018. Also, they informed me that my first CRSC payment will be deposited on August 31, 2018, and an audit was going to be conducted for any retroactive pay owed by DFAS and/or the VA.

I was just approved August 17th. Hit my HRC record 2 days ago. Waiting on DFAS now.
